At our converting plant in Strömsbruk, Sweden, we add further value to Invercote, Incada and Inverform by applying various barriers, films and foils.
About the Strömsbruk Mill
Our mill in Strömsbruk is Holmen Iggesund's facility for the additional finishing of paperboard products from the mills of Iggesund and Workington. The paperboard is extrusion coated with different kinds of plastic, laminated with films and foils or glue laminated to heavy substances. All in all to gain properties that attracts converters in food, confectionary, cosmetics etc. segments.
Typical application areas are packaging of food-stuff that require a functional barrier to moisture, grease and gases. Strömbruk's Mill has three production lines with the combined capacity to coat just over 40,000 tons of paperboard per year.

About our certificates
We operate according to globally recognised standards for forest stewardship and management of environmental, energy and quality aspects. All standards are integrated into business procedures and reviewed annually by internal and external specialists. There are certificates related to our operations as well as to our products. All of which can be downloaded further below. The certificates for the Iggesund Mill are also valid our conversion plant in Strömsbruk.
Operational certificates
FSC®
FSC® (FSC-C110018) stands for Forest Stewardship Council® and is an international system for certification of forestry that has the support of many environmental organisations. Read more at ic.fsc.org.
PEFC
PEFC (PEFC/05-33-105) is short for Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes. It was originally a European system for certification of forestry, but has gained global recognition. Read more at www.pefc.org.
ISO certificates

EcoVadis
Holmen Iggesund's mills in Workington and Iggesund have been assessed separately and have both been awarded Platinum medal. The Platinum level means that your business is among the top 1 percent of all assessed companies. Read more at www.ecovadis.com.
Achilles
Holmen Iggesund has successfully achieved the Achilles Responsible Sourcing membership, having completed an online pre-qualification questionnaire. Achilles collects and validates supplier data and mitigate risks globally. This data-driven insight builds more secure, sustainable and better performing supply chains. Read more at www.achilles.com.
