Renewable packaging
We manufacture premium paperboard from fresh wood fibres to meet the demands of high-end packaging. After use, our boards are very well suited for recycling.
Our paperboards are made from fresh wood fibres, a renewable raw material. We use the leftover wood parts from the sawmills or the forest management and turn them into pulp to produce paperboard. The big stems of the trees form the raw material for construction timber used for houses and other wood products, which continues to store carbon throughout the product’s life.
The wood is harvested in forests certified for their sustainable forest management according to FSC® and PEFC. Regeneration of harvested forests is a legal requirement in Sweden, where we source our wood.
We turn the fresh fibres into paperboard predominantly used for packaging purposes. The packaging protects the packaged goods throughout the journey from producer to consumer, reducing potential losses. When the packaging has served its purpose, it becomes a valuable input to the world’s recycling systems, and after a number of cycles, when the fibres have lost most of their properties, they can be incinerated and turned into fossil-free energy.
